Position Overview

DeltaStream is looking for a talented and motivated Developer Advocate to join our growing team. As the Head of Developer Advocacy you will be the first hire and will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our technology and the developer community. You will be the voice of our products, engaging with developers, fostering relationships, and championing the use of DeltaStream’s streaming data solutions.

Responsibilities

Technical Evangelism

Advocate for DeltaStream’s products by creating and delivering compelling presentations, demos, and workshops at industry events, meetups, and conferences.
Develop and maintain a strong online presence through blog posts, technical articles, and social media engagement to showcase DeltaStream’s technology and share valuable insights.

Developer Outreach

Build and nurture relationships with developers, communities, and influencers within the tech industry.
Actively engage with developers through forums, online communities, and other channels to understand their needs, answer questions, and gather feedback.

Content Creation

Create technical content such as sample code, documentation, tutorials, and other resources to help developers integrate and optimize DeltaStream’s solutions.
Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to develop content that resonates with the developer audience.

Product Feedback

Collect and relay feedback from developers to the product team to influence product development and enhancements.
Work closely with product managers and engineers to stay informed about upcoming features and improvements.

Training and Support

Provide support to developers through various channels, including forums, email, and social media.
Develop and deliver training sessions and webinars to help developers maximize the potential of DeltaStream’s products.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years proven experience as a Developer Advocate, Technical Evangelist, or similar role.
Has lead teams in a similar role
Strong technical background with proficiency in SQL/Relational Databases and programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, Rust or C++.
Experience with data systems including streaming and batch storage systems
Experience with streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka and Apache Flink is a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
Passion for engaging with developer communities and staying current with industry trends.
